Statement:
I have the desire, a deep passion to create. The process of creating
helps me maintain myself, because I have developed a need of expressing
myself visually. The sources of my inspiration come from nature
and experiences around and inside me.
I
have always been curiously fascinated by the complexity of the world
and the nature that surrounds us daily. I like to take fractions
of what I see in my daily experience and convert it into created
objects or expressions. The images are only elements through which
I can explore the limits of colors, brush strokes, as well as my
emotions and feelings.
I push and pull the limits of my materials. I believe it is important
to push the limits to the extremes between total destruction and
beauty, in order to find the absolute potential of the explored
images and ultimate means of expression. In order to push the limits
to the extreme, I have to be loose, free, and expressive rather
than attached to the limits and details of reality. I have to be
open to explore the capacity of brush strokes, colors relationships
and interactions, as well as the composition of lines and shapes.
My
recent work is simplified and minimalistic. My emphasis is to create
an atmospheric and exiting surface. I focus on the interactions
between texture, color and lines within the piece. The object is
hidden within simplified shapes. I want the viewer to experience
a personal connection with the work's presence...so that the work
itself is ever-changing.
