Studio Siri & Art Lessons

Offers exciting art lessons directed towards people of all ages and artistic abilities. The lessons give the oppotunity to explore drwaing, painting, and ceramics on any level and are designed to meet the participants needs.

1. Kinder Art 4-6yrs.

This program provides fun and creative art projects, in a variety of mediums. The purpose is to help improve the children’s motor skills, to stimulate their imagination, and to extend their appreciation of art and creativity. This program will bring children and families of Rome to Shorter College.

2. Young Picasso’s

This program geared towards teens, (middle school and high school) with special interests and talents in art. The program’s emphasis is to stimulate, as well as, to challenge young and promising artists in all mediums. The program also concentrates on developing potential art majors with good work disciplines, and helps the individual in preparing strong and unique portfolio material. Separate courses will approach the use of different mediums. The participants of this program can get a taste of the real life of an art major at Shorter College by observing the Shorter College art students.

3. A Portrait of the Heart

This program is directed towards amateur adults and seniors who have a love for art and the humanities. All art mediums are available in separate courses. The idea is to establish an informal studio space that gathers, encourages, motivates, and inspires all hobby artists of Rome.

4. Sense of Self

An after hour course for professional who need a stress buster from their everyday grind. All mediums are available in one course in an attempt to rejuvenate the individuals well being, a “sense of self”.

5. Interactive Art

The purpose is to provide an art program for those in our Rome community with special needs and health conditions. This offer is geared towards the individuals in our society that needs a positive and friendly environment in which they can openly express themselves through art. From establishing the art program at Floyd Training & Service Center, which is facilitating adult individuals with mental retardation, I have come to understand that art and creativity have profoundly positive effect on people, their mental health, and their quality of life. I will use the knowledge and experience I have gained, from working with these individuals to give a unique offer that Shorter College has never seen before.

6. Individual

Any focus or medium that particularly interests a participant may be explored further in a one-on-one setting. Individual lessons will be arranged at a time convenient to the participant and will focus directly on the individual’s needs and desires.

If you want to Registar for any of the lessons listed below, please write me an email and include the day and time that is most conveniant to you, also indicate what type of lesson you wish to participate and the name and age of the participant. This will help me in the schedouling process and construction of the program.
